Dior 2006 Fall RTW

The theme of this collection is Goth-metal rock chick with all black bandana, major shades, fur-sprouting distressed leathers and stomping medieval biker boots, different from the previous Dior’s couture like collection. It was an innovative idea with trickle down effect to influence the upper class from fantasy to nuts-and-bolts ready-to-wear. But Galliano also slipped in references to Christian Dior's 1947 New Look jacket. (here in a peplumed shape, or covered with tulle in the front)
The colors used in this collection were black, white, claret and brown, also with little green. They are all in high intensity. This brought out a cool color mood.
All the colors used were staple colors in fashion.

There was a large portion of white in the collection. This added sooth to the whole things so the collection was less heavy.

there was a smooth transaction from black to tinted colors.

There was a harmony when red, brown and black dominant in the show. The use of heavy intensity in all colors helped bring out the harmony.
And Galliano is sophisticated in using wig and make-up of models to bring out the mood.

This is another example using analogic color scheme. the combinatin of claret and brown brought out familiarity.
