Dior Fall 2008 couture

This is a collection John Galliano called "fresh couture—restrained and refined."
It is a classic collection which the silhouette is similar to the one designed by Christian Dior.

This collection is one of my favorite one. The color were with tints of gray, caramel, Parma violet, mint, and chartreuse. The tint color gives fantasy feel. The combination of colors is rich. The hourglass silhouette is so elegant and beautiful.

The black and white color again appears. The achromatic color scheme dominant one third of the whole collection.

The colors were mostly fad colors, like chartreuse, Parma violet and gray, which won’t appear in many seasons.

The color mood is warm.
The whole collection is using many different hues, but with similar intensity. This brings out a sense of harmony and comfort.

The 2 examples of contrasting intensity differences .

Animal print is seldom appears in Dior collection. it showed up in Dior 2008 couture collection and Dior Spring 2008 Ready to Wear. but in 2009, it seldom appears in fashin show. This indicates that animal print is a fad.
