Dior fall 2005 RTW

A back-to-basics attitude is sweeping through the house of Dior

Colors were russet yellow, brick red, black, yellow, little purple, little dusty-pink…… again, colors of Dior’s collection are always so ..unexpected.

Somehow I realized, no matter how many colors are there, yellow always be one of them. YELLOW should be the color of Dior (or Galliano) that cannot be missed.


Playing of patterns in Dior House is less common. This time there is a black and white striped design, which is quite rare and impressive to appeared in Dior.

This is an analogous color scheme with khaki, brown and yellow, it is an orderly plan and with Principle of Resemblance.
Together with the stylish hats, gives a sense of coolness.
From each sepearte garment, there is also combination of analogous color.
In the first set, there is combination of brown and khaki, playing sense of harmony.
in the last set, there is combination of yellow and brown.

here is also with different intensity of red. brownish red, cochineal, dusty pink and brick red, which is usign the mono-chromatic color scheme.
The pants with the dusty pink bouse is in metallic color.

here the purple dress with cochineal high heels is using the analogous color scheme.
Because the two colors are using high intensity, contrasting effect comes out.

comparing the purple and yellow dress, they are the complementary color.
